Keep Saying YES to the Things You Love.
When did getting older start meaning we have to slow down?
I don't know about you, but I have a lot of things I still want to do, places I want to explore, and adventures I haven't even thought of yet!
And that's really what The Age Strong Project is all about.
I'm Elisa, a movement and longevity coach with over 20 years of experience helping people stay active and do the things they love.
I've worked with people of all ages and fitness levels, from athletes looking to improve performance to older adults who simply want to feel confident getting up off the floor.
And here's something I've learned along the way.
Aging is inevitable. Giving up the things you love doesn't have to be.
It's About More Than Exercise
We hear a lot about lifting weights, stretching, and getting our steps in. All good things!
But there's more to staying active than checking those boxes.
How we breathe, how we move, how strong we are, and how well we balance all play a role in what our bodies allow us to do.
That's why I developed the six-step Age Strong Blueprint. It brings together the different pieces of movement so we're not just exercising, we're preparing our bodies for real life.
Because life doesn't happen on a gym machine.
It happens when you're chasing a pickleball, carrying luggage through an airport, hiking with friends, or getting down on the floor with your grandkids and/or pets.
So, What's This Blog About?
Think of this as a place to get curious about your body.
We'll talk about why you might be feeling stiffer than you used to, how to build strength that actually translates into everyday life, why balance matters long before you're worried about falling, and what you can do to keep moving well as the years go by.
I'll share research, practical tips, things I've learned from working with clients, and probably a few lessons from my own adventures along the way.
My goal isn't to give you another long list of things you should be doing.
It's to help you understand what's possible and give you realistic ways to get there.
Because whether you're 40, 60, or 80, there's still a lot of life to live.
And I want you to keep saying YES to it.
Stay Active. Stay Connected.
Here's to preserving possibility.
